I would like to know what is the minimum flow rate of the regeneration air flow rate in a solid desiccant wheel for a given flow rate of process air? For example can we use a flow rate half of the process flow rate?
Main factors affecting desiccant wheel performance which are studied in this research consist of process and regeneration inlet air temperatures, humidity ratios, and mass flow rates as well as desiccant wheel speed. Based on table 1, different air conditions are taken into consideration. To remove moisture, solid desiccant wheel technology presents an energy-efficient alternative to traditional systems especially when solar energy and waste heat come into play.
Solid desiccant wheels can be coupled with other systems to provide desired air quality.
