As you now , Microsoft word just inserts .xml files as references' citation source.
Mendeley exported xml files are readable in Microsoft Word but there is a problem:
when i use IEEE style in word , it errors
Error: Invalid source specified
the error just apears when i use IEEE style and disapears when the reference is added manually

you may have to reset your trust settings within Word:
"File, Options, Trust Center, Trust Center Setting, File Block Settings, Web Pages had to be unselected, meaning not block. This setting also stopped the Mail Merge feature from working."
To fix the error of using IEEE style referencing in Word with Mendeley's XML files, you can try the following steps:
Open Mendeley and go to "Tools" > "Options" (Windows) or "Mendeley Desktop" > "Preferences" (Mac).
In the "Citation Style" section, make sure the IEEE citation style is selected. If not, select it from the available options.
Export your Mendeley library as a BibTeX (.bib) file. To do this, go to "File" > "Export" and choose "BibTeX" as the file format. Save the exported .bib file to a location on your computer.
In Microsoft Word, click on the "References" tab and select "Manage Sources."
In the "Manage Sources" dialog box, click on the "Browse" button and locate the .bib file that you exported from Mendeley. Select the file and click "Open."
The references from the .bib file should now appear in the "Master List" section of the "Manage Sources" dialog box. You can select the references you want to use in your document and click "Copy" to add them to the "Current List" section.
In your Word document, place the cursor where you want to insert a reference. Click on the "Insert Citation" button in the "References" tab and select the appropriate reference from the "Current List."

Thanks for your attention and time you spent for solving the problem kindly , but no items were checked in Trust center and reseting it's setting didn't solve the problem
