It is about the paper titled "On the capacity of spatially correlated MIMO rayleigh fading channels", IEEE trans. Information Theory, vol.49, no.10, pp. 2363-2371, Oct. 2013.
Paper can be find from MIT sources:

Yet I am confused about one thing in this work.
Would anybody mind to illuminate me on the proof of Theorem 2?
I can follow all of the proof but the last one, where substituting the (39) into (43) to get the (41).
Actually, my confusion lies in the definition of $\Phi_i {x}, \Psi_j{x}$ in (41).
What are they standing for? The i-th column of $\Phi(x), \Psi(x)$ ?
Because as the definition in the beginning of Theorem 2,
the $\Phi_{x}_j, \Psi_i{x}_j$ are 2-dimension matrix,
but it seems here after the transpose,
the entries of $\Phi(x)$ and $\Psi(x)$ become 1-dimension by (41).
I just cannot follow this.
Would any of you mind to elucidate this $\Phi_i {x}, \Psi_j{x}$ definition?
Thank you!
