Dear Ammar,

Syed has given you the correct clue.

However, you cannot over rely on the status of the names given in Plant List.

Example: Bauhinia × blakeana Dunn---Unresolved name. Not at all correct. It has also been proved by molecular studies that it is a hybrid between Bauhinia purpurea L. and Bauhinia variegata L.  Yet it shows Bauhinia blakeana Dunn as the correct name.

Bauhinia divergens Baker-----Aceepted name; but till date its identity is not fully resolved.

We can of course take help from Plant list but it is not fully reliable because it is almost next to impossible to give the status of the innumerable name accurately.

You cannot rely totally on the information derived from "The Plant List"

"Unresolved names indicate lack of sufficient information or studies for concluding the name to be as Accepted or Synonym"

obviously you have to conduct your own studies to resolve such names from the very beginning of the name, since it was published.

Unresolved names of plant species means names of uncertain status that  have been determined by specialists to be either of uncertain or unknown position and thus of doubtful or unresolved application. Also listed are a number of names representing imperfectly understood species of plants
