I have coated the Silicon wafer with photoresist (AZ1518) but until the exposure (Laser Writer) I had to wait for more than a week (Laser Writer was not operative) - would the photoresist still be in tact after more than a week delay from the coating until the exposure?

The photoresist will be intact but if you stored the surface coated with photoresist in direct light some of the photoresist will be damaged. Usually a surface coated with photoresist can be used after many months if you cover the surface with colored 'scotch' .

If stored away from light or in yellow light in a flowing nitrogen box it should be okay.
