There are so many researchers developing inhibitors for tumor.
For those tumor that has a single and specific shape, what is the main treatment? Isn't the tumor removal surgery much more faster than those drug inhibitors?
I know most of time it is hard to clean all the cancer cells by surgery, by you can do surgery first and then use those drug inhibitors to clean the rest of cells to prevent relapse. I'm just thinking those inhibitors work slower than the surgery and would cause other side effects. And also, tumor cells are smart, they can always develop resistance against inhibitors.
I'm wondering if removal surgery is the main treatment for this kind of cancer.
I think surgery may be helpful if the tumor cells are localized at a distinct anatomical site.
I think that the problem of surgery is the localizing tumor cells at a distinct anatomical site. Really, the accelerating development of cancer cells' proliferative processes are the great obstacle for efficiently targeting nuclear proliferative processes in modern chemotherapy with cytotoxic drugs. Unfortunately, the modern medicine does not accept yet chance to target mechanism of cancer metabolism which is expressed in Warburg effect. Such approach to cancer treatment can help of efficient chemotherapy with cytotoxic drugs.

It depends on the tumor as well as on it's anatomical localisation and on the patient's condition. Not every tumor can be removed easily. Sometimes you can only remove a part of a tumor without removing too much “normal“ tissue. In addition malignant tumors invade into organ stroma so you probably cannot see whether you have removed all the tumor cells.
Usually there is a combination of surgery and chemotherapy to make sure, all, the tumor cells have been removed.
