During the covid 19, several searches were suspended because of the confinement. Now, with the uncertainties about the pandemic, research activities are slowing down (except those on the anti-covid vaccine). Can we say that the level of concentration of researchers remains the same after the covid?
Yes
This pandemic has brought many changes in many aspects of our life, one being research.
Staying at home surfing internet alone is not going to help in our research work constructively. May be it helps us to prepare for a good research work.
As field work is the hall mark of Anthropology, there cannot be any research work without field work.
This pandemic has only put us to halt for some time, but we are restoring back to normalcy soon.
Level of concentration may be same or even more if we revive with more enthusiasm and positive energy. Let' s hope for the best.@ Daphnee Michel
The research in my lab has remained steady (we study infectious bacteria), however the virologists and immunologists in our institue definately had a huge growth in their research to include corona virus research along with their previous research.
There has been a tremendous increase due to the availability of enough time by remaining indoors. Submission rate to journals has increased.
Yes it is even better. We had a lock down time that we used to focus more, learn about many things, less work (depends on what field). I think our skills have been improved regarding concentration and reading.
