Those RG fellows interested in increasing score are most active in Q and A as well as discussions.

Others who are more academic focus on quality research publications.

For me, it has to be a balance between the two.

Sharing my articles, reading interesting piece of works and participating interesting Q@A ‘s.

RG is important for me Reading the articles, Participating in Discussions and questions in my field.

For me, I am interested in taking part in everything there is on the RG platform. When I work on a project that requires more research, I read articles and ask questions on the platform. Also, when I find interesting questions and discussions, I do contribute. It is difficult to single one portion out.

Indeed, for those who want to improve their RG score, participation in Q&As and discussions are the most patronized. For some, uploading their articles to obtain higher coverage is what they want. Some, like me myself, try to balance both. RG is also useful in networking with other scientists in your field. Thus, some scientists also rely on RG to interact with other researchers, sharing ideas and coming up with projects.

As the rate of sharing article is very slow, while questions are floated frequently. This is why, I spent most of the time in question and answer session.

All are important. But a single person can't always do all those........or may be interested in doing some specific ones of his/her choice. The most important thing is to get attention of the reader(s) or to take part in a discussion and answer or sharing views for a question ,....., even initiate or promote a healthy as well as rational debate in one specific point towards reaching a definite conclusion.

RG is a unique platform where both the contributor of an article and the reader get a chance of enrichment. This is probably mutually exclusive. In fact, the whole RG family becomes enriched and satisfied directly or indirectly.

I am getting ready articles for reading and understanding other speciality

I think it's a combination of reasons .- Some people are interested in increasing score, but above all, their visibility as researchers (who remain with our name). .- People is also interested in taking part in everything there is on the RG platform. not everything we want to know, or the doubts we have is written in the articles. .- RG .- There are researchers who, for different reasons, are very isolated (they do not have colleagues in their specialty). RG allows them to share experiences, doubts and create new contact networks.

I don't enjoy reading the research articles so much, unless the research is in my field of study (Economics).

it is purely a personal prerogative.

When working on a research paper .. I constantly use RG but other times, I like reading the opinions of others and answering questions like this.

As very often indicated RG is the gateway of knowledge & all the participant are contributing in their very right manner in their programming plan . I certainly enjoy my publication of my articles & also happy that which have been viewed by well many members of different countries .

Besides I also enjoy to offer my reply of various question & I may humbly add here that my replies have been appreciated by quite good members .

This is my personal opinion

I shared my work which is the product of my 37 years of professional and academic life in RG. I'm following the articles and projects that I'm interested in. But the truth is; during this period, discussions and questions are more important for me.

Receiving publications from authors on demand is definitely an advantage. I am learning a lot from the Q&As - sometimes I feel that many questions are also in my mind but in a less explicitly form. However, there is a third thing for me that is at least as important. Namely establishing bridges to colleagues who are important for me for one reason or another. RG gives an excellent opportunity also for this.

All are important.

Reading an article is still best since i am a newbie in this scientific platform, i dedicate a lot of my time reading some interesting manuscripts online on which i may utilize in the days to come if its time for me to do my research interest. However, it is also healthy to be part of an online Q&A forum of researchers. It stimulates your brain and at the same time, meet and greet other fellow research enthusiast im the field.

Articles : it helps as a research to solve a problem and get a result.

Discussions and questions : it helps to solve a problem to a researcher, and also it helps through sharing different opinions and experiences among the researchers.

Thank you for your comments: much of important articles has an attention less than discussions at RG.

For research articles, literature review is a kind of discussion on the important articles. Citation of an article in a research is an extended discussion. Both are a part of research impact.

Readings, recommendation and answers of an article is a part of research impact.

Therefore, research impact is a process. Research impact life cycle consists of

Readings, recommendation, answers, citation, and discussion.

if the Reads at RG has been classified into reads, and full-text reads, then citations should be classified into discussion-oriented citation (literature review), statement-supported citation and application-oriented citation and more….

Like what we have done at Facebook or WebChat, we discuss some ideas. Yes, we have less discussion on an article here at RG. However, recommendation is a kind of discussion. Why we recommend article A rather than B, because we love A, and hope to share A with others. A deserves recommendation and attention from myself and others.

Of course, we should have more discussion on article, in particular, on the articles in the form of Preprint in order to help the preprint change into official published article. For example, I published "Contemporary Research Impacts and Analytics in the Era of Big Data: A Systematic Approach" as a preprint at RG. I really appreciate discussions and comments in order to get it published at an international journal soon.

Accurate knowledge and new dimension of research

Most of the time I am busy in question answer and discussion. Research articles are lengthy, this is why I download it for reading during my free time. You can, I give 70% of my time to Q & A and 30% to research articles.

Very useful platform to connect to best International authors doing research in relevant field of research. Even textbook authors are available in RG.

Well said by Dr Anastas Ivanov Ivanov. I go with it and I think both are important but differ in their proportion according to the interest of the RG colleagues and researcher on RG platform

The most important thing is to exchange ideas, get intellectual stimulation, find new innovative answers or solutions to research problems, and more importantly, to have friends of respected scientists from the rest of the world.
