In July 2015, Thomson Reuters has decided to add Applied Water Science to the newly

created Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in the Web of Science (WoS).

The journal doesn't have an impact factor.

Applied Water Science is a new open access journal available from 2011 to 2015 which is fully funded by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Saudi Arabia, published by Springer-Verlag GmbH.
