Could anyone here please tell me the experimental set up, or the protocol to be able to measure the angular distribution of the light emitted (fD) by some OLED device? I have seen that there are some equations to determine power efficiency, or external quantum efficiency, using this concept fD (please see the attached image) and it's represented as a double integral of an intensity function. But how is it measured? What equipment is required? Or under what conditions? Is there any protocol, or procedure that someone here could be so kind to facilitate for those of us who have no experience in that field?

(1) You can to avoid angular distribution measurements for purpose of total power calculation, if you use calibrated integrated sphere for total power measurements, Visit sphereoptics web site to learn more about theory and measurement procedures.
(2) If you need spatial distribution measurement results for this and other purposes you can use goniometric system as mentioned in previuos answer, DMS system (Instrument Systems, Germany).
(3) Also, you can use Fourier optics based measurement system, for example EZcontact manufactured by ELDIM France.
(4) In the case that you can to measure half intensity angle you can use cosine at n power for angular distibution approximation.
(5) In the case that emitted radiation behave as Lambertian source you can use cosine approximation.
Any how your task is not so easy and require some additional work and help of the light measurement specialist.
