Very effective among patients after scaling for the cure of gingivitis.. helped decrease bleeding gums, very positive response from the patient but the taste is disliked.
Not by my patients. As they discontinue the usage as soon as their bleeding gum problem resolves.
Very effective as adjuvant treatment for periodontal disease. Usually, the patients dislike it at first, but rapidly get used to the salty flavour.
Beware of the high sodium content! Alternative toothpaste is advised for hypertensive patients. I also have very good experience with Pierre Fabre's "Arthrodont" toothpaste!
I had used it myself once. Its taste was Ok. Sometimes I like trying such things before advising it to my patients.

No study related to hypertension and use of Parodontax has been carried out and It is assumed by GSK that the amount of sodium ingestion is not relevant.
However, the correlation between sodium ingestion and hypertension is well established, and since you have other reliable alternatives on the market, in my opinion, there´s no need to add any amount of sodium ingestion to this particular type of patients.
In essence, can we say that this detrifice should remain as a specialized medicament rather than a daily oral care material due to its sodium content??
