Prepare the Electrode Material: Cut the electrode material (e.g., zinc foil) to the desired size for the coin cell.
Mix the Slurry: Combine the active material, binder, and solvent to create a homogeneous slurry. Use less % of binders as it have the ability to hinder the activity and exposure of active sites.
Coat the Electrode: Use a coating technique (e.g., doctor blade, spin coating, or spray coating) to apply the slurry evenly onto the electrode surface. You can also do brush-coating or drop-casting depending on the viscosity of the material slurry
Dry the Coated Electrode: Allow the coated electrode to dry completely, removing the solvent and excess binders.
Assemble the Coin Cell: Place the coated electrode into the coin cell setup, ensuring proper alignment with the separator and counter electrode.
Fill with Electrolyte: Inject the aqueous electrolyte solution into the coin cell, ensuring it fully wets the electrode surfaces.
