Thank you very much. You are great. I am not specialized in this field. So, may be I get confused because it was a question contains two parts, the first part includes this attached image while the second without this image & I have separated them in 2 posts.

(a) Why the Fermi level is in the middle of the band gap for an insulator but isn’t for metal? (on the attached image)
