I have performed aggregation studies of my organic molecules in THF/water mixture. Leveling of tail appears after 60% water. Leveling off tails are maximum in 60%>70%>80%>90%. Particle size also follows the same trend in DLS. So can i say that larger particle size is giving more leveling of tail in UV spectra.
Such leveling of tails at 400 nm wavelength appears because of light scaterring by your particles. And light scaterring intensity depends on the size of particles. So this is mostly artefact in your measurement. You should try using integrating sphere for absorbance measurements of scattering samples.
60% water solution is slightly turbid but then becomes clear above 70% to 90%. Can i say that larger size of aggregates is the reason for turbidity?
The reason of turbidity is light scattering. And the larger size of aggregates is the reason of more intense light scattering.
