I need help in knowing the economic feasibility of waste recycling projects, especially in developing countries where unemployment rates are high. This is on the one hand, and on the other hand, how does waste recycling contribute to achieving environmental sustainability.

Economic feasibility will depend on the input to acquire the waste and the output generated from the recycled wastes. For instance, if you collect or procure waste from collection centers at a rate X and then recycle them to produce a new product that you sell at a rate 2X. If you consider the recycling cost per unit as 0.5X, then your process is relatively feasible, but if your recycling cost per unit is over X, then your process is not feasible.
For the aspect of environmental sustainability, if you are recycling prastics, definately the process is contributing to the environmental sustainability if it does not involve more emissions than the environmental harm from the waste when disposed off.
