Aim is to introduce different amounts of oxygen into Zr and study its deformation behaviour.
This you can do by applying varying partial pressure of oxygen during the heat treatment. You can use the mixture of Ar + O. with varying O say, 1%, 2%, 5%. etc.
I agree with Yadav, you should also consider the time of exposer to O2 environment.

I don't know the more simpler but a harder one you can try if you want- 'Ion implantation'.
I was recently reading about alpha casing of titanium. Alpha casing refers to the formation of oxygen enriched layer on the surface of the metal (Ti). This enriched layer can be obtained via grinding. I would like to know whether heating of the sample to warm or relatively high temperatures will allow any oxygen penetration into the metal ?
I am looking for alternative ways because I don't have any equipment for maintaining controlled pressure of oxygen and thereby introducing it through Sievert's method.
