What is the differences between Working Papers and Articles?
Working paper is a "work in progress" and by making it available the author hopes that to receive comments, and suggestion and hence tease out inconsistencies and errors.
Sometimes, an author may make his/her paper which is submitted for publication to a journal available by calling it work in progress or working paper.
When the published version of the paper is the final article.

Please assign the corresponding phrases for the papers in the following research process:
1- A paper which is being worked by the author, submitted no where.
3- A submitted, albeit not accepted, paper.
2- An accepted,albeit not published, paper.
2- A published paper.
Base on your answers, I guess the "case 1" is "working paper" and "case 4" is "article" Am I right? If yes, what about case 2 and 3 then?
