I uploaded the snapshots of the shear strain distribution of two deformed metallic glasses under tensile testing (P S P boundary condition at T= 50k and strain=0.2 (20%) ).
Can anyone guide me on the difference between the deformation behavior of the two samples and which behavior is more ductile and which is more brittle (with reasons)?

Can you run the simulation multiple times and see whether single or multiple shear bands occur? Any chance the right sample was buckled (poor coding or due to some numerical oscillation of simulation?). Slip bands growing out of base of gauge length is highly irregual, and physically we suspect poor notching or buckling in that region (right image). If you had recorded the intermediate steps, it would have been better. Change your script a few places to extract jpg image of deformation (or visualize cfg files directly into suitable software like OVITO) to see deformation as it progresses.
