Spin polarons and polarons play significant role in High Tc cuprates. However both are not same. What are the difference between them? Can two polarons couple to form "Spin-bipolarons" as two polarons may coalesce to form S0 or S1 bipolarons? Does S2 bipolarons exists? If Spin bipolarons exists what are the relative postion of the two Spin polarons?

A polaron refers to an electron or hole surrounded by a cloud of phonons. A spin-polaron is an electron or hole surrounded by a cloud of magnetic (or antiferromagnetic) excitations. Although electron-phonon polarons are not much relevant to cuprates phenomenology, spin polarons were the subject of many approaches trying to explain the origin of superconductivity and anomalous behavior in these matereials, since the "pin bag" to the string picture.
