i. Shoot is the upper part of a plant from the part just above the soil where the root ends to the apex (all leaves inclusive).
ii. Stem is just the part above the soil to the area where you have the oldest leaf (all nodes and internodes inclusive).
ii. Bark is the epidermis of the stem, usually of dead cells in older plants.
