This depends on the method. If you are rinsing three times with 100 mL diluent each time and end up with 300 mL diluent, then no it shouldn't make a difference. If you are rinsing three times with the same 100 mL diluent, concentrating the wash and ending up with only 100 mL diluent, then yes it does make a difference.
