While looking at articles, I have seen that many of researchers are mentioning vol% or Mol% of gas from the gasification of biomass like 31 vol% or mol% of Hydrogen and so on for other gas composition, I would like to knw that if this Hydrogen is 31by Vol % then how much it will be into Mol% or both are same.....?
Another thing i want to add that a gas mixture, they can only report into mole percent since the GC measures the molecules, not the volume.
If you make the ideal gas assumption, then your Mol% is the same as your Vol%. They probably made that assumption, therefore your 31% hydrogen by volume is 31 mol %

At constant T & P, volume is directly proportional with the number of moles for a gas. For the equilibrium reaction N2 + 3H2 ↔ 2NH3, one volume of N2 (or one mole) reacts with 3 volumes of H2 (or 3 moles). If we want to express the mole % in the whole equilibrium system, then mol% of N2 =( 1/6)X 100 which equals the volume% of N2 in the total volume of the gases in the system .
Mol% is the relative nr of particles. Vol% is related to the relative volume of these particles.

As per Avagadro law, equal volume of gases at same temperature and pressure contain equal number of moles regardless of chemical nature of gases. However Avagadro law is valid only for ideal gases and not for real gases.

What is the difference between Weight concentration and Volume concentration?
I had the same confusion. Its okay to take them as same. I considered them as same. Make sure them to add up as 1 and for getting the properties of flue gas, you can use mass fraction for certain cases instead of mole fraction.
