Multi-attribute decision analysis (MADA) and multi-attribute decision making (MADM) are the same term because we based on attributes in both cases. The topic, which Henrique mentions, was little else. There was the question on the difference between decision in respect criteria or attributes. Here, we have the question on the difference between a decision making and a decision analysis, which are the same term for me.
Decision making is a cognitive process of action selection among several alternative scenarios. Decision making can be an imitative process, based on self-experience, others experiences, or based on decision analysis, or simply aleatory. So, decision analysis is at the basis of decision making. Unlike the MADM which is weighting some criteria in view of decision making, MADA is a more elaborated process in which decision risks and decision sensibility are evaluated.
