I calculated Moran's index using GeoDa 1.8.x and ArcGIS 10.2 based on the same data and the distance-based spatial weight matrix. However, the results are different. What is the detailed difference between them ? Is the distance calculation process different?
I have experienced the same. But give only to limit myself within Arcgis....although GeoDa looks easy to play with. Now I am bit comfortable with R codes....and can link with R and ArcGis interchangeable. The package called Rbridge will help you to play with you data, estimation of Moran and mapping....modeling.....so on
