I am Technical Officer of Bacteriology department of National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (ICMR), India. The Director-in-charge denied to permit me for scientific paper publication as single and corresponding author. What should I do?
Many Institutions have a policy of allowing academic staff only to publish papers, since it is important for their career; is that so in your Institution? I would suggest that you meet the Director and say that you wan to try for academic positions. If he still is not allowing, get some one, may be the Director himself, as co-author (which could have been thought of earlier).
If he still is not allowing, you may consider going to Human Rights commission or such bodies, but then again these will lead to further problems..
Lie low, and present some good lies; think that Science will benefit from your research, and It is necessary to survive;
