In computational cochlear model, if we map a Basilar Membrane (BM) frequency range with different number of channels, the filter gain and band width are changed. To be noted, in this case sampling frequency is also fixed. A higher number of channels has a higher gain and bandwidth and vice versa. Can anyone give me some references from human BM data related to this finding or clarify the reason behind this?
