A simple question, perhaps badly phrased in the title, what is the largest singular biomolecule i.e., not stacks of carbohydrates one after the other, to be involved in post-translation modified amino acids?
For example, lipidation could add up to 50-60 atoms to a side chain of a protein. Glucose can break down and form a crosslink between lysine and arginine or between two lysines, essentially adding an addition 15-20 atoms to the protein.
Thanks
