I used clustering with different methods on genes data, the thing is, I need to show the labeling result on heat map, for example, there are some toolboxes and also Matlab function to show hierarchical clustering results (such as 'clustergram'), I need to show labeling in clear way on heatmap, any suggestion or experience?
Have you tried K-mean algorithm? I have applied K-mean to similar cases and got very good results.

Actually I tried; K-means, Hierarchical clustering, SOM and some graph based clustering algorithms. The clustering performance almost are acceptable. The way I found to show clustering results simply was to show them separatly such as enclosed figure. So, could you please tell me how you show results based on heatmap? other my question which method you use to illustrate quality (validation) of clusters?

I used correlation analysis for cluster qualification and SPSS linear model for statistical analysis.
