What is the best way to introduce yourself in an interview, if your current position is not relevant to the proposed research field ? What are the best options?
In general, when introducing myself in panels or presentations, I tend to focus on my past achievements and experiences that are relevant to the research field. I think in light of the fact that research is becoming an increasingly interdisciplinary endeavor, I think that your current title doesn't necessarily mean as much as the experiences you bring to the table.
