I am working on a 26kDa heat shock protein. I understand that to induce a heat shock protein is by heat shock, but what is the best way to induce, express and purify a heat shock protein in a large scale culture?

Temperature may be the easiest variable to change, but w/o knowledge of the system (bacteria, cell culture, organisms) it is difficult to advice. I'd vary temperature and exposure time and measure the concentration of my POI with ELISA or Western.
