Some journals ask for a vector file for the figures/diagrams submitted for the article. What is the best way to create a vector file from your Microsoft Excel chart?
It is a little workaround, but you can copy each figure/diagram to a separate sheet. Then you can print each figure/diagram as PDF. To do so you just have to click on print (File -> Print) and then select "print to PDF" or "save as PDF" (I think there are differences regarding your operating system and the version of excel you use). Strictly speaking and as far as I know a PDF is not a true vector format, but a vector-based format with embedded bitmap images. But maybe this helps you anyway.
