I am trying to find a topic for my PhD thesis. I've done two MSc; one in Landscape Architecture (about Ecological Landscape Design and Permaculture) and one in Forest Entomology (about Lepidoptera). Now I want to study further both of them in PhD. Can you help me find a topic that icludes both and woth studying.

In my opinion in your PhD thesis like your recent publication you can show up your work around the topic of climate change, but this time relate it to forest patterns (using for example lepidopterans as model; their dynamics). Forests are really suffering from global warming and issues regarding overall climate change and this is not good for the ecosystems equilibrium. Maybe some good simulations in forests to find climate friendly trees or plantations or designing appropriate ecological systems to better conserve the main elements recycles in the soil of forest, which makes a final stability and mitigate the impact of climate change. I think first of all a very good literature review in both areas you mentioned should be done and then afterwards you should come across the best design to link both fields for nature reserve. You may get help from good forest experts at Swedish Agricultural University in Uppsala Sweden.
