I have used a poultry slaughterhouse wastewater as an influent to the ASBR and i have measured the biogas production from the 12L bioreactor (ASBR) in a unit of (L/d). Hence, I am looking for an advice for the best unit that could be used for quantitative the biogas production from the bioreactor and why?
The biogas production should be expressed as a volumetric production rate in L-biogas /L-reactor.d. This value does not depend on the volume of your reactor and can thus be compared with rates from other reactors of different size. It is better if you know the methane content of your biogas to calculate a methane production rate.
Another parameter to calculate is the methane yield, that is the methane produced per kg COD or VS.
The volumes should be expressed in NL or Nm3 (volume calculated at 0°C)
