There are many interpolation tools in GIS like IDW , Kriging and so on. What is the best way to prepare water quality parametes maps (pH, turbidity, conductivity, hardness and others) ? And how do we prepare the final map for water quality using ArcGIS?

There is no hard and fast rule about which interpolation technique is most appropriate, it actually depends on what you're trying to do. It also depends on data variability and spatial distance of data points. In many of the papers Kriging interpolation has been reported to perform better over IDW. Kriging is more versatile than IDW. You can try variogram analysis, it will provide additional information about the regional variability your data.

This depends on the size of the sampling mesh, the spatial distribution of the samples and the intrinsic properties of the aquifer. Kriging gives normally acceptable results to facilitate (or even orient the user) the general understanding of the distribution of quality parameters. But, your knowledge of the aquifer is vital for correcting the automatic interpolation results.
For the final map, the necessary tools are very well explained in several tutorials on YouTube. If you have more specific needs, I can propose some web links.

hi,, Contrary to views of Mr Saikat Das , Interpolation techniques do matter with regards to nature of variables, parameters and kind of data under study. First you have to study the factors of spatial variability for particular parameter then decide appropriate method to model out that variability matching its reality.
for water quality parameters , they area very localized in nature and mainly depends on local factors. prefer splines if you can not model them with some local factors of variability.

I have seen some people preparing maps for the sake of representation, without any meaning or utility of such maps/figures. Hence one has to first find out the variation in the values of a particular parameter, their importance, and most importantly the type of projection such as contours; pie diagram; bar diagram; etc. Contouring should not be the only mode to represent your findings. I agree with the answers of Dr. Saikat and Dr.Adil.

Hello together,
does somebody has an educated guess for choosing an suitable interpolation method for hydro-chemical (eH,pH,O2-content,...) and physical parameters (Temperature, pCO2,...) of lake water samples that were taken at different depths (0-65 m)?
Also any paper that is dealing with lake water would help a lot!

All interpolation methods must define how to measure the distance between any two points, and almost all interpolation methods use straight-line (Euclidean) distance. However, for data collected in an estuary, this definition of distance doesn't work because the straight line between two points may cross overland. Instead, you need an interpolation method that can use water distance. The water distance between any two points is the shortest distance between them that only goes through the water.
