In soil analysis and also compost analysis, we have a huge amount of data that should be analyzed through PCA, LSD, ANOVA (s)...what is the best software that gather all those analysis types with simple procedures and readable graphics and tables. Sometimes we feel lost in results that hide 2 or 3 relevant ones your are seeking. Can a kind of Statistical software help in those issues?
As a geochemist I use cluster analysis for the interpretation of data. I use MVSP Software for this purpose.

For R-software, it's like SAS, with commands and writing binaries, you're a specialist in mathematics Dr Mora. I'm an agrobiologiste and it seems to be hard for me, I work with Minitab, and it's quit good for ANOVA and LSD, but PCA is not very confortable in addition to the fact that it doesn't work under win8.
Till now, I'm still in my experimental plots, geostatistics are also important for multisites and time repeated treatments. My colleague is working with ArcGIS. Thank you Dr Erwin.
I think that I'll turn to SPSS (20 or 21) I'm waiting for the licence from our administration. Mutivariate Analysis is my main concern, especially when using NIRS and MIRS analysis. Data sets of 4000 columns of spectra multiplied in a 100 soil samples can make you...!! The UnscambleX is also a very confortable software but still not have its licence (30 days of trial are not enough, it's a pity).
I want to correlate intervals of NIRS/MIRS spectra with physical and chemical analysis in order to perform a tool for prediction of those parameters using only NIRS/MIRS analysis. Can you help to guide me through this?
Yes thank you for the link, I have also some other papers from university of Montpellier in France, they're dealing with the same topics, but they have their own softwere of the NIRS/MIRS device.
All are good, depends on the nature of analytical data and the objecives of the research.

I've installed the SPSS 21 and I'm fully satisfied with the software especially with the PCA (Principal Component Analysis). Now, I want to push further the analysis to predictive model, is someone have the extension module of PLS for SPSS 21.
