In my experience, there are two different approaches to the statistical analyses for intervention studies including pre-post tests and training-control groups.

In one part, researchers are both applying and strongly recommending Two-Way Repeated Measures ANOVA to be able to see the exact intervention effect. However, some other researchers are saying that Unpaired T-tests for groups’ pre and post-tests and Paired T-tests for pre-post tests of each group are enough to discuss the results.

What do you think about these two approaches?
