I have been working on separating the plant's methanol extract into ethyl acetate and methanol fractions. I have tried various solvent combinations, such as ethyl acetate:methanol (7:3), dichloromethane:methanol:water (5:4:1), dichloromethane:methanol:acetic acid:water (5:3:1:1), and methanol:dichloromethane (7:3, 7:4), but unfortunately, none of them provided satisfactory separation. I would appreciate any advice on the best solvent for the TLC.

Mr Abdelhak Maghchiche i have use ethyl acatate and methanol at various concentration but no good sepeartion. however, i will trying adding acetic acid and see.

Ethyl acetate + acetic acid + formic acid + water was used as a developing solvent to extract the product from the methanol solvent.
