i have synthesized a compound from ferrocene and silica nano particles in an Teflon-lined autoclave and now i have problem for cleaning the Teflon bowl which contains ferrocene. i have tried organic as well as aqueous solvent,even HCl.
but there is no dissolution

The solvents of Benzene, Toluene, Carbon Disulfide and Pyridine were proved to be good solubility. You could try. Please see the article link.

It dissolves very well in ethanol, or DMF (N,N-dymethylformammide). Vigorous stirring, and in case, heating a little can help.

i have actually tried Benzene, Ethanol , Methanol,..the Teflon container did n`t get cleaned with any of these.i should try Pyridine and toluene as well.

I used DMF today itself after seeing your comment. vigorous stirring with temperature is going on.still there is no result but i`ll wait some more
i don`t know whether the problem is because of Ferrocene or with silica nano-particles.

try to dissolve ferrocene separately first, to be sure that is in solution..regards
