I want to use Chitosan as foliar spray on pomegranate trees .The material i want to use was solid ,so what do you advice me to use as a solvent before dillution in water?

Amine function of chitosan must be protonated prior to its dissolution in water. As pka=6.5, you should add weak acid like acetic acid to get pH
Hi dear ,thank you for your interesting answer .Indeed i know that was the materials used for dissolving chitosan like diluted organic acids (acetic acid,lactic acid ,formic acid ,and even 1% hydrochloric acid),but i asked which is the best among them .
