The answer depends a bit on the type of the Raven you want to use (SPM or APM). When you go for the APM, Arthur and Day (1994) might be a good option; when you want to assess SPM,

could be worth to consider.

I consider the changes in both reliability (see Spearman-Brown formula) and difficulty as most critical when using a short version. However, Arthur and Day (1994) describe that both were still decent in the short version and comparable to the long version. I also once simulated how a short version affects both reliability and difficulty; and at least a short version with approx. 20 items showed nearly identical results to the long version regarding reliability and difficulty.
