Hi!First of all, the best ratio for efficient OPVs from P3HT:PCBM is 1:1. P3HT is first dissolved in 1,2-dichlorobenezene (o-DCB) to make a 20mg/ml solution, followed by blending with PCBM. The blend solution is stirred overnight at 75 oC in order to be homogeneous.
You can be advice by: http://www.rsc.org/suppdata/ra/c3/c3ra42792g/c3ra42792g.pdf, sup. info, where is described the whole procedure.
Moreover, there are some other solvents that can be used as additives, such as NMP, DIO, OT, etc, that enhance the solubility in conjugation with o-DCB. You can try some of these solvents in 2-3% ratio to o-DCB.
I have tried last week P3HT:PCBM( used DCB as a solvent) by concentration (18 mg/mL) and I stirred this solution for 18 hrs without heat to make sure but the surface has got grain which gave me indicate that the materials did not dissolve in the solvent completely, My comment is Can I use heat long time for active layer ? and what about if I use Chloroform instant DCB ..
