Conductive preparations are comprised of an anti-static agent dissolved in a suitable carrier. The carrier can be water, an alcohol, or a mixture of both. The anti-static agent can be quaternary ammonium compound , long chain aliphatic amine, or phosphoric acid ester.

Plastics, that are inherently conductive, are commercially available such as the various grades of Noryl GTX manufactured by SABIC. These products are costly but behave as fully conductive substrates that readily attract electrostatically charged powder coatings.

However, conductive prep's are easier to apply and more economical to use than conductive primers. More recently, formulating schemes have emerged that use nanoparticles such as CNTs, CNFs, and graphene particles to impart conductivity to molded thermoplastic parts.

We use anti-static agent for coating that spray with electrostatic system, and this coating doesn’t have conductivity in dry film.

We first used the graphite,  But graphite was milled hardly and due to the large size of the graphite particles and deposits them, Resin was placed on the surface of the film and prevented of surface conductivity of film surface.

I want to use CNT in water borne conductive paint, but I couldn’t find commercial additive of CNT except BYK9810 that is used in water born coating.

Exposing polymer sheet to a plasma immediately prior to coating will create an oxidized surface layer that is quite conductive, promotes adhesion of the subsequently-applied coating, and is robust in final result.  However, the effect is lost fairly quickly (minutes), so it must be done essentially in-line with the coating process.

Actual coatings of graphite and carbon black are common in the literature, but one must conduct some experiments with the relative concentration of the two black pigments, and with the total loading of both in the polymer film.  If milled sufficiently, one can achieve fine surface textures with more than adequate conductivity.  A common set of conditions:  total pigment loading of 20-40 volume percent; relative concentration of graphite to carbon black of 1:1 to 4:1.
