You may try protein (21-22%), Fiber (5% approx) Lysine (1.2 %), calcium (1.1% max) Fat (2 -2.5% Max) for starter. You have to standardize the formulation based on availability of Raw feed materials
You can formulate a ration as per NRC 1994 recommendations for broilers. If ME can't be met, the requirements may be converted as ME to Nutrient ratios and formulation can be as per the ratios
The most important thing about prestareter diets is digestibility of ingredients so using high quality materials is the best choice. Also DCAD should be noted well.
As Ranveer suggested protein 21-22 % no doubt it is important but at the same time you should consider amino acid profile of the ration might be limited in the ration along with lysine
I suggest to access the document on the link below, material quite complete nutrition in poultry, have no English version, need to seek help for translation, discusses parameters as local temperature, age, yield, body weight, etc. ..http://www.google.com.br/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCsQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Faviculturarj.com.br%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F04%2F02-TABELAS-BRASILEIRAS-AVES-E-SUINOS-2011.pdf&ei=-Q2eUZWFCIa29gTzzYHIBg&usg=AFQjCNGD5dKcOwrMZMR3QPR3KM1lPbMOLg&bvm=bv.46865395,d.eWU
I will suggest you to look online the recommendation of the strain that you are using. The NRC, from 1994 is a good resource, but in some ways is not very accurate anymore. From 1994 to 2013 the broiler lines changed a lot and the tools for feed formulation also improve. Maybe some of the feedstuff that you will use you will need to search this composition, and new papers could be a good resource in that.
Good source of info are Evonic, Cobb and Ross reccommendations for nutrient specifications. Strictly follow digestible AA profile. Optimised formula and specs are only one part of successful diet. Use high quality ingredients with high digestibility, include probiotcs, prebiotics and/or other non AGP. Optimal particle size of raw materials 500-600 micrometers and feed presentation: crumbles for prestarter and 2 mm diameter of pellets for starter.
As stated by some above researchers, first of all you need to balance your diet based on strain recs. then, it is better to focus on amino acids levels, so that don’t reduce AA level when using lower ME than strain recs. use Ross (Evonik), cobb, and/or another strain recs, as is stated by Dimcho Djouvinov.
What can I add to above recommendations is local circumstance( altitude place, temperature, oxygen dilution, relative humidity and so on) is very important.
Also, application of specific supplementation(depend on strain and local circumstance) and feed processing are important factors to achieve best results.
there are many broiler strain allover the world and each strain have specific requirement. now may use prestarter diets for 1st 6 days of age with 2950 Kcal ME and Cp% 24.5 and digetible Lysine 1.42 and dig Meth 0.44and Ca x1 %
