I wouldn't rcommand a mouse ab when you like to use it on mouse tissue because of possible corss- reaction with the anti-mouse second antibody. If you have two rabbit ab you can try to detect the 1st with anti-rabbit -FAB and the 2nd with anti-rabbit H&L IgG. Good luck!

I used a rabbit anti-Iba1 from Wako on rat fixed tissu sections (50um) to label microglial/macrophage cells. Even withtout antigen retrieval protocols the result was very good.

What is the second labelling?

I have used anti-Iba1 rb (Wako) and it works perfectly; I decided to continue to use this Ab and for a double staining with another rb antibody I will opt for the double fixation.
