The used method is reacting N2H4 with CS2 and then with aryl or alkyl halides. I'm looking for one pot reaction. Do you think there's a one pot reaction ?
I proposed that the discussion with Frank T. Edelmann is highly valuable.
Please review the article titled " Mild and efficient synthesis of carbazates and dithiocarbazates via a three-component coupling using Cs2CO3 and TBAI".
Dear Nabeel Arif Tawfeeq, a very convenient solvent-free one-pot synthesis of dithiocarbazates is described in the attached article, which is Open Access. Good luck!
Dera Nabeel Arif Tawfeeq, thank you for the information. The two ligands (SBDTC & SMDTC) are described in the following articles. Both papers are available on RG. As you need the CS2 moiety in the molecule, I think there is no way to avoid working with carbon disulfide (under a well-ventilated fume hood). Thus I cannot really imagine an odorless method.
