Are you considering that the PAW warming is due to CO2 emissions or just some natural process or event. In my view the current warming seems to be just a minor warming related to solar activity, e.g Minoan, Roman and Medieval warming.

I've never seen accurate data for temperature fluctuation longer than 2-3 mln. y. If we do not have these data for the past how we can conclude warming or cooling? It might be one of the serious fact is carbon oxides content increasing, but it is not fully approved. The modern variations of carbon oxides (as considered as resulted by human activities) much less than it was during volcanic periods in the past. My impression it is just natural fluctuations
