The indexing of a published article in the Scopus database may depend on several factors. The issue is that my colleague and I have published separately two articles in the same indexed journal that is released monthly. My article has published before that of my colleague by one issue. Now, the article of my colleague appears in Scopus, but that belongs to me is not. So, can anyone explain this issue?
Dear Yasser Fakri Mustafa actually I have no idea what the technical issue here at Scopus is. What I'm wondering, however, is: What's the problem? Is there any real need for being impatient? Why don't you just let it happen and worry about more important issues? In the end, what does one month count (or two or three)? We did 30 years of chemical research without having our papers indexed in any database. It wasn't all that bad. So my suggestion would be to just take it easy. 😎

The issue is that my institution is not considered the work is published until it is appeared in the WOS and/or Scopus database.

Dear Yasser Fakri Mustafa many thanks for the explanation. It remains to be questioned if your intitution takes the easy way out when the consider on paper indexed on Scopus. In any case I would not worry too much. Eventually all your papers will be indexed on Scopus. One month more or less should not make a big difference. According to one of the answers to this question it usually takes 2-4 weeks until a new article is indexed on Scopus.
No issues...if the journal is SCOPUS indexed then it will certainly appear after some time...

Dear Yasser Fakri Mustafa It depends on journals and the time they send data to Scopus team. Some journals send the issue articles together, others send each group of articles together.

As 1st step, you need to use the hand search in SCOPUS, because it can be a mistake in your name. On the other hand, I suggest asking of SCOPUS Administration concerning this situation.

Dear Yasser Fakri Mustafa please also see this potentially useful link entitled "Scopus: Inclusion of papers". In this discussion it is mentioned that: "For the articles to appear in Scopus page, it will take some more time than Google Scholar takes. There are internal steps that are taken care before indexing the articles in Scopus. It usually takes 3 weeks to 2 months for an article to appear in Scopus (from my own experience), I can't provide data points."
To me, 3 weeks to 2 months seems realistic. Personally, I would never worry about this. Just let it happen and better spend your precious time with new research.
