Which method would be the best to do the survival count of plant species like Cinnamomum, Cardamom, bamboo, Gravellia, Himalayacalamus, Napier grass and few other species? The plantation sites are hilly with 30 degrees to 50 degrees slope. Please provide detailed information on the procedure not just the name of the method since I don't have any idea about this.

Perhaps this will help you evaluate the reasons you need to inventory, some of the basic methods and intensity you might desire. As steep as you indicate, perhaps you need one of those inexpensive drones with a movie camera for a low elevation fly over. Some plants regenerate very well when planted properly, others are more temperamental. If you can separate the two groups, you may be able to adjust your sampling intensity. Obviously if you had poor planting stock, poor planting crews or techniques and/or poor weather conditions, poor soils, you might want to adjust.
You can also try quadrat sampling, if you have less resources. Sampling may be better and quick. the sampling method will be random and if stratification possibility exits, then you may go for stratified random sampling.
I have no idea about the species and the context of your study. It may be interesting for you to save time using a sampling method like in the document i send.
It allow you to estimate a percentage of dead individues with confidence intervals.
From time to time you can do with a drone images of your plantation site and to count individuals in the image who have changed the color of the leaves and those who do not.
