We educators and instructors tend to think about teaching as an action of transfering knowledge from a person that knows to a person that does not know. In fact, this attitude never proved itself completely. Socioemotional teaching and learning perception takes a different position: It believes that social attachment and engagement are not less important than knowledge itself. Learning in such perception involves both the instructor and the learners, all participants of the learning process become peers in the outcome of the project involved.

As escolas da região onde resido têm sido assediadas por essa metodologia de trabalho, vejo a aplicação como um engodo em razão da super lotação de crianças em classes na sua maioria desconfortáveis para que a educação aconteça satisfatoriamente. O ensino-aprendizagem sócio-emocional nessa perspectiva me parece uma forma de ensinar conformismo. Acredito mais na perspectivas das "situações-problemas" sugeridas por Galperin, porque ensina o gosto pela descoberta, pela reflexão, pela interdisciplinaridade também.
