As it says, there are many advantages of adding our work to preprints before publishing. But I feel there are some negative impact of endorsing our idea before we published them. Because someone can duplicate our work before it published.
Uploading preprint in RG has one more difficulty. After actual publication of the paper the preprint cannot be replaced by the actual publication. It is fine if we remove the preprint and upload the actual paper but the reads of the preprint version will go.

How do I link my preprint to the publication page for the final version?
As soon as you publish your work, you can link your preprint to the final work's publication page. Here's how:
1. Go to the Research tab on your profile
2. On the left, select Preprints and locate your publication
3. Click Add published version under the preprint title
4. Select the published work you want to link to if it's already on ResearchGate, or create a new publication if it's not
5. Click Add published version
6. Your published work's page is now linked and accessible directly from your preprint

I recommend you to upload your preprint to arXiv (or another preprint server that serves to your field), then additionally announce it at RG. Because researhgate has not an control sytem for uploading anyone can upload any paper but arXiv "endorsement" and "moderation" control systems to avoid academic fabrication and dublication.
